2. Purpose of data processing
We process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of social counseling and processing your application for financial support. This includes information about your financial situation, personal data and other relevant information required to process your application.The University Support Office of the University has the right to inspect your address data, account data and the reasons we have given for your emergency situation. Your personal data will be stored and archived by the General Students' Committee (AStA) on its own servers for processing purposes.
3. Legal basis for processing
Your personal data is processed on the basis of your voluntary consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and for the performance of a contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
4. Type of data collected
The following personal data is collected
Name, e-mail address, telephone number, university, matriculation number, degree program, financial information (e.g. income, debts), other personal information (e.g. date of birth, marital status)
5. Storage period
Your personal data that is collected and processed as part of the application process will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. After completion of the application and fulfillment of all legal and administrative requirements, your data will be deleted, unless legal regulations require longer storage. All documents that are no longer required may be subject to a review for archiving before their final destruction.
6. Disclosure to third parties
Your data will only be passed on to the team responsible for you within the AStA and will be treated confidentially.
The University Support Office of the University has the right to inspect your address data, account data and the reasons we have given for your emergency situation. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, unless there is a legal obligation to do so.

9. Voluntary nature of the provision of data
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide it, we will not be able to process your application.
10. Automated decision-making
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.
Each application is personally reviewed and assessed by an employee of the social counseling service.
11. Cookies and tracking
Our ticket system only uses technically necessary cookies to ensure functionality. These cookies do not store any personal data and are deleted at the end of the browser session.
